Obituary of Thomas Edward Haney

Thomas Edward Haney, Sr. passed away in Essex on May 28, 2011. He is survived by his beloved family including his wife Wanda (Wollock) Haney, sons, Thomas E. Haney, Jr. of Essex and his wife Nancy, Gary Haney of Deep River, his daughter Susan Robida of Essex and her husband Dennis, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Tom served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II as a Motor Machinists Mate Third Class. He was a graduate of Central Connecticut Teachers College in New Britain. From there he pursued a career as an accountant. He was Chief Accountant and Office Manager of Echlin Manufacturing Co. in Branford for many years and later was Comptroller of Lehigh Oil in Norwich. His family was his greatest joy in life and he will be greatly missed. Funeral services were privately held. Burial with Full Military Honors took place in the Fountain Hill Cemetery in Deep River.
