I just found out about Ricks passing. I have many memories beginning at a literature class with him at MXCC. I still have a sculpture that Rick helped me to carve. My condolences to his family and friends.

For the Family and friends of Richard Wallen
We're so sorry. to hear of the loss of Richard.
We all feel poorer without him.
But realize that the wonderful soul that was Richard is not lost
The God that created all things remains in charge,
And he makes no mistakes.
He wanted Richard elsewhere now,
And so, that is where he is.
God has a Plan we cannot understand. Nothing disrupts it.
He will call each of in our turns, and then,
Like Richard, we will go
To where we will then belong.
All will be well then.
And all is well now,
Even in this sad time.
Have faith in God's power,
And let him guide you onward.

Rick was such a kind, gentle soul. I will miss my visits and concerts with him. Whenever I talked to him, he would brighten my day. He just had that calming affect on people. Somewhere, he is dancing to rock music and waiting for his beloved Sue. I will miss his beautiful smile and the long talks we shared....Beth Abbey and family Middletown, Ct.

Rick...Rock on big guy! Not many did it better than you! Then to find an angel in Sue while still on earth.
I don't know what I look forward to more in seeing you in the here after. Your wit and historical knowledge or the chance to ride along side of you. This rather than towing a Harley with an AMC Gremlin....LOL
RIP my friend, and to your family and Sue my condolances.

I want to express my condolences to Rick's family and friends. I grew up on Hidden Lake Road in Higganum just a mile and a half from Rick's house there. I used to love to fish for trout in the stream that ran right next to his house. Rick was smart, energetic and had a bubbly, always "up" kind of personality. He was always fun to be around. After middle school I lost track of him to my regret. I was really hoping to get a chance to catch up at the reunion last year. I cherish his memory and am very sorry for your loss. Fred Fuller

In the wake of such a loss, we are haunted by things we don't and may never understand. Yet the solace we seek may never come from answers. So we look for comfort in the belief of love's everlasting connections. May that love lift you and hold you close and give you peace.
