Obituary of Kenneth H. Bradford

Kenneth Harland Bradford, age 97, beloved husband for 73 years of Eleanor Charlotte (Ralph) Bradford went to be with the Lord on Tuesday afternoon July 19th. He had been a resident of Deep River, CT for the past six years and formerly resided in Kearny, NJ. Ken worked in color analysis at DuPont Plastics. He was an active and faithful member of the Oakwood Avenue Baptist Church in Kearny for many years. A man with many talents he had the ability to fix anything around his home. He greatly enjoyed working with his hands, caning chairs, refinishing furniture, and gardening. The creation of jewelry, and his interest in lapidary were among his favorite pursuits. He will be remembered for his terrific sense of humor, the love he had for his family and his devotion to his wife, Eleanor. Besides his beloved wife he leaves his daughters, Barbara A. (Ted) Mackenzie, of Deep River, CT, Sandra R.(Bill) Waddell, of Newton, NJ, his son, Kenneth H. (Carol) Bradford, Jr., of West Milford, NJ., six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Ken was predeceased by his brothers, Preston and Edward Bradford. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Deep River Baptist Church, P.O.
