One of the kindest things I ever heard said, I heard said by Fred. He said, "I hope your mother dies before me." I looked at him and could not think why he would say such a thing. I said, "Why?" "I know how much she loves me, he said, and I would never want her to feel the pain of losing me." Hum.
Sorry that had to pass, Mom.
The kindest thing ever said to me, was when Dad looked me in the eyes and said, "I've been practicing what I want to say to you."
"Throw it away, and tell me what's in your heart," I said.
"I'm sorry. You never deserved what you got."
"Ah, sometimes I acted like an a**hole."
"No, you never deserved it. Please forgive me."
And it was done.
For me, that was the first time, Fred showed me what a real man he was.
Be well. Dad.
I am ok.
Peace. Lou and Cliff
