Obituary of Edward Miezejeski

Edward J. Miezejeski, 91, of Deep River, loving husband of the late Rose (Parodi) Miezejeski passed away Wednesday, September 21st at Chesterfields Healthcare Center in Chester. Edward was born September 2, 1920 in Staten Island, NY; the son of the late Vincent and Anna (Ryzner) Miezejeski. Edward was a proud Army veteran, parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in Chester, an avid fisherman, member of Essex Sportsman Club, as well as the owner and operator for many years of Chester Nursery. He is survived by his sisters Lillian Pandiani of Deep River, Genevieve Laskowski of Chester, Mary Rayner of Deep River, Genevieve Shumbo of Moodus and his brothers Vincent Miezejeski of Ariel, WA and Joseph Miezejeski of Deep River as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife he is predeceased by his brothers Charles, Thomas, Paul, Peter, John and Stanley. Visitation will be Friday September 23rd from 5-7 pm at Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main St in Centerbrook. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday September 24th at noon at St. Joseph's Church, 48 Middlesex Tpke in Chester. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in Edward's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice
