Obituary of Corynne Anne Chesery
Corynne Anne Chesery, of Old Saybrook, formerly of Homosassa, FL, died peacefully September 24th at CT Hospice in Branford. She graduated from Saybrook High School in 1965 and went to Meriden School of Nursing with a specialty in psychiatric nursing and received certification in Past Lives Therapy. Her passion was art; particularly that of her father's, Arthur Murphy, for whose work she promoted in many galleries worldwide, including The Smithsonian in Washington. She loved to read, enjoyed traveling, jazz music, gardening, and, upon retiring, was a volunteer at Forgotten Felines. Corynne is survived her brother George Murphy of Westbrook, her sister Catherine Lambrecht and her husband Scott of Old Saybrook, her nephew and godson Christopher Lambrecht of Breckenridge, CO, her niece Melissa Lambrecht and her fiancé Paul DaPonte of Old Lyme, her beloved cats Sugar & Spice, her cousins Richard & Dorothy Murphy of Texas, dear friends Nancy Baldoni of Old Saybrook and Sandee Lunt of Westbrook, as well as other family and friends too numerous to mention. She is predeceased by her parents Arthur and Maxine Murphy and her husband Henry Chesery. A special thank you from her family to Peggy and Billy Millspaugh for all their love and support and to all the wonderful "angels" at Masonic Hospice and CT Hospice. A Memorial Service will be celebrated at The First Church of Christ Congregational, 366 Main St. in Old Saybrook on Friday, September 30th at 10 am with interment in the Memorial Garden immediately following.
