Obituary of Richard J. Anselmi

Richard J. Anselmi, 65, of Deep River passed away Thursday, September 22nd at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. He was born in Middletown; the son of the late James and Anna (Malchiodi) Anselmi and was a life long resident of Deep River graduating from Valley Regional High School class of 1965. Richard belonged to the Deep River Horseshoe League, was an avid bowler, known to join a pick-up basketball game, and was an avid Yankee's fan. He worked as an assembler at Roto Frank in Chester, retiring in 2006. Richard is survived by his lifelong friend Lucille J. Perkins and her family, of Deep River and his sister Beverly and her husband Karl Oboda of Regalville, NJ. A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at 2:30 pm in Fountain Hill Cemetery, High St. in Deep River. Following the Graveside Service a celebration of his life will be held at Centerbrook Meeting House, Main St. in Centerbrook. In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to the Richard J. Anselmi Scholarship Fund or to the Richard J. Anselmi Tri-Town Youth Services Fund, 221 Main Street, Deep River, CT 06417.
