Obituary of Thomas H. Bannister

Thomas H. Bannister, 74, of Niantic, son of the late Robert I. & Julia (Dibble) Bannister, born July 20, 1940 lost his battle with cancer on August 6, 2014. Tom graduated in the class of 1959 from Old Saybrook High School. He operated Bob's Antiques in Old Saybrook before going to work for BluRay & Associates for 30 years. He was the best brother anyone could ever ask for. Tom is survived by his six sibling; Peter R. Bannister of Sebastian, FL, Sandra J. Messick of Westbrook, Julie A. Hosford of Groton, Michael J. Bannister of LaGrange Park ,IL, William E. Bannister of Clinton and Richard R. Bannister of Oakdale as well as a beloved uncle to many nieces & nephews. Graveside services will be held at Cypress Cemetery, College St., Old Saybrook on Tuesday, August 12th at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Forgotten Felines, 153 Horse Hill Rd., Westbrook, CT 06498 or to the East Lyme Ambulance, 8 Grand St. Niantic, CT 06357 in memory of Tom.
