I enjoyed visiting with Mary very much. I met her out in the neighborhood and we shared some fine conversation. I will always cherish the things Mary told me about growing up in this old neighborhood. Her mother would send Mary out with a basket and she would go to one neighbor to buy eggs, another to buy milk and another to buy vegetables. A few times I had reason to knock at her door. She and Ed welcomed me in and were so sweet and conversant.It is sad to see that generation pass.

Mary and I used to have the most interesting discussions about her childhood, marriage etc. She was a nice woman and truly loved her husband and children. She spoke Italian phrases to me from time-to-time. I used to go to her house just about every Friday afternoon and she provided me with tea and cookies while I worked. She was ready to go, though and I am glad she went peacefully.

David, Gary, Mom just called and shared the news of your mom passing. I had an immediate rush of wonderful childhood memories and familiar faces whom are no longer with us but as you we will see again. They are together having fun looking over us. Not sure why but I heard her say "Benny". Love you guys John
