Obituary of Kenneth D. Morrison

Kenneth D. Morrison Jr., 83, of Ivoryton, loving husband of the late Emma (Werenko) Morrison, passed away December 5, 2011 at Branford Hospice. Ken was born in Danbury the son of the late Kenneth D. and Ann (Almy) Morrison. Ken was a long time funeral director, starting at Munson Funeral Home in Woodbury for many years and also at Robinson and Wright Funeral Home where he worked from 1967-1974. After leaving the funeral industry Ken held various positions working with his hands. He was a 32nd Degree Mason Scottish Rite at the Estuary Lodge # 43 in Old Saybrook. He is survived by his son Kenneth D. and his wife Catherine (Hart) Morrison of Ivoryton, his daughter Linda of Arizona, granddaughter Mary Morton of Ivoryton, and his brothers William of Canada and John of CT. Visitation will be Thursday, from 5-7 pm at Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main St in Centerbrook. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Church and Memorial Service for Ken at the First Baptist Church, 10 Prospect St. in Essex on Sunday at 10am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the church.
