Obituary of Ronald P. Scott

Ronald Pattullo Scott, 87 of Old Saybrook, beloved husband of Carol T Scott, died peacefully on December 12. He was born January 9, 1924 in West Medford, MA, son of Harry and Nell (Pattullo) Scott. He is a graduate of West Medford High School, Boston University and Harvard Graduate School. A resident of Old Saybrook for over 40 years, he achieved Eagle Scout status, served in World War II, invasion of Okinawa, long time 32nd Degree Mason, as superintendent of schools in Old Saybrook 1969-1972, was in education administration for 40 years. He is recognized for Service above Self through activity in Rotary Club for 52 years, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, SCORE, AARP driver training, and as an active member of the Congregational Church's of Old Saybrook and Deep River. Besides his wife of 57 years, he is survived by his children Gregory Scott of Old Saybrook, Andrew Scott and his significant other Karen Abercrombie of Deep River, Elizabeth Guerra and her husband Mark Guerra of Lake Worth, FL; his grandchildren Christopher Scott, Elizabeth Scott, Danielle and Haley Guerra; his sister Marion Livingston. He is also survived by one great-granddaughter Briana Norman and by many loving nieces and nephews.
