I just learned about your fathers passing. My prayers are with you and your family. I remember your father fondly - he was old school and he had a sense of honor & integrity that is often lacking in a PC environment.
I regret that I didn't get to know him when I got older.

Pug and I grew up together on the South Side of Titusville, Pa.; along with Bobby Zimmerman, Dave Eddy, Keith Warner, Tom Taylor, George Buser and I could go on... It was a good time to be a kid. We played ball, hiked in the woods, smoked cornsilk cigarettes, and all the other things kids did back then. He was a good guy.

Had I known that Mr. Beason had passed, I would have come to the service. He was my basketball coach for 4 years at Valley. The last time I saw him was right before he moved to Florida. He was such a vibrant person...quite a life force. He was such a dedicated coach and he really had his heart in it. So sorry for your loss.

Mr. Beason was not only my dad's coach when he attended JW and Valley in the 70's, but he was still there when I came to John Winthrop and took his typing class in 1998. He always said he'd be watching out for me so I'd better behave or he'd report me to my dad. My condolences.

pug and i grew up in titusville and were on the high school and track teams. we fished, shot pool and hunted together. after graduation, i followed him to slippery rock where we were on the track team and in the same fraternity. after i retired from the military, our friendship continued and when he moved to the villages, my wife, Peg, and I decided to buy a home there also. we were regular golf partners and played cards and had dinners together often. pug was a fierce competitor whether it was sports, pool, cards or any other games. my sincerest condolences to susanne, jody, gary, leslie, wendy and the rest of the family. i will deeply miss my friend. randy

Very sorry to hear of your loss. I didn't know Joel well and appreciated his hello's at the park. We didn't play on the same teams but knew him as a friendly competitor and good hitter. While it is painful to see his note of loss, it is wondeful he got to be with his family in Connecticut, and rewarding to see his summary of his accomplishments and notes about his family. I knew as a nice guy and a gentleman. He acknowledged my brief note on friend of mine going through the same terrible disease and his contact info. I saw him at the field after that and he appreciated my note. So sorry he is gone but know he is in a better place. Regards Ken Scanlon

We were so sorry to hear your dad's diagnosis last year and that he didn't have more time to enjoy his retirement. We will keep you in our prayers. Sincerely, Barb Hesser Kish and Mike Kish.
