Obituary of Lillian D. Wetmore

Lillian (Dagrosa) Wetmore, 84, of Chester passed away Thursday January 12, 2012 at Aaron Manor after a long illness. She was born in Bristol the daughter of the late Michael A. and Mabel L. (Wells) Dagrosa. She graduated from Chester High School in 1945 and on December 18, 1946 she was united in marriage at United Church of Chester to the late Vernon Wetmore. Lillian worked as a Shipping Supervisor, retiring from C.J. Bates after 30 years. She was a woman who treasured family and friends, was an avid Red Sox fan, a lover of life, and a very giving person who will be forever missed by all. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is survived by her son Thomas Wetmore and his wife Dianna, daughter Linda Wetmore Siekierski and her husband Bob both of Chester, her grandchildren Justin Burton and his wife Kelly of Deep River, Kyle Siekierski of Chester, Joshua Wetmore and his wife Laura of W. Bath, ME, and Ben Wetmore of Deep River, her great grandchildren Mason, Tessa and Natalie Burton, and Drew Wetmore. She is also survived by her sister Eleanor Vanlierop of Fullerton, CA as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she is predeceased by her brothers Edward and Jerry Dagrosa and her sister Evelyn Yacko. The family wishes to thank the staff at Aaron Manor for their loving care. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 pm at Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main St in Centerbrook. A funeral service will be held Monday at 10 am at the funeral home with interment to follow at Fountain Hill Cemetery in Deep River.
