Obituary of Marie F. Giesing

Marie F. (Greaves) Giesing, 75, of Westbrook died on August 13, 2014 at the Hospital for Special Care in New Britain. Loving wife of the late William F. Giesing. Born in Dalkey, Co. Dublin, Ireland, daughter of the late Robert H. & Alice (Hughes) Greaves, Marie emigrated to the U.S. in 1965. Marie was an avid gardener, had an extensive thimble collection and loved her drives with Bill. She will be most remembered as a loving and supportive Mom. Marie is survived by her children; Deborah A. Dunn of Colchester, Michael P. Dunn of Westbrook, her siblings; Thomas Greaves (wife Patricia) of Westbrook, Harry Greaves (wife Nancy) of Old Saybrook, Pascal Greaves(wife Catriona) of New London, Patricia( husband Louis) Karg of Old Saybrook and Alice Bernadette Jeffries of Old Saybrook as well as many nieces and nephews and several cousins in Ireland. Marie's Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Aug.18th at St. Mary's Church, Clinton at 10AM. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Westbrook.
