Obituary of Eldridge M. Kelsey

Eldridge M. Kelsey, age 85 a life long resident of Deep River passed away on Friday, March 23rd at the Middlesex Hospital at Shoreline in Essex. He was the beloved husband of Myrtle (Greuel) Kelsey. He was born in Middletown on November 21, 1926 the son of Ronald and Florence (Zimmerman) Kelsey. Eldridge was the well known owner and operator of a construction company in Deep River for many years. He was especially known for being a "Jack of all Trades". Besides his loving wife Myrtle whom he married at the Deep River Congregational Church on January 26, 1946 he leaves his son, Peter W. Kelsey and his daughter, Bonnie A. Perkins both of Deep River. Eldridge also is survived by his four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his son, John R. Kelsey, brothers, William and Kenneth Kelsey and sisters, Elizabeth Swain and Jean Kusner. Visitation will be held at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centerbrook on Monday, March 26th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will held on Tuesday, March 27th at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Fountain Hill Cemetery, High Street in Deep River. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
