Obituary of David Clark
David Clark, 73, of Old Saybrook, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2012, with his family by his side. Dave was born and raised in Branford, CT, son of the late John and Mildred (Fallon) Clark. It was in Branford that he met his wife, Gail (Lehr), to whom he was married 51 years. Dave and Gail had made their home in Old Saybrook for 42 years. Dave began working for Northeast Utilities, Millstone Station in 1965 as a Nuclear Control Room Operator. He retired from Millstone in 1998 as a Shift Manager. Dave enjoyed boating, fishing and relaxing in the RV during the winters in Florida. Most of all, he delighted in his children and grandchildren. He was a fixture at every baseball, soccer, lacrosse and football game. Besides his wife, Dave is survived by his son Kevin and his wife Hilary, of Deep River; his son Sean and his wife Bethany, of Old Lyme, and his son David and his wife Lista, of Franklin Tennessee; his brother Richard and his wife Barbara, of Essex; his brother John and his wife Leona, of Liberty, Maine. He leaves 9 grandchildren: Benjamin, Ethan, Matthew, Lucas, Sam, Charlie, Dustin, Alden and Roland and 2 great-grandchildren: Marley and Cameron. A Mass to celebrate Dave's life will be held on Friday, April 13 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows, 14 Prospect St., Essex.
