Obituary of Louise M. Eichinger

Louise (Marranzino) Eichinger, age 88 of Clinton passed away Friday morning, July 13th at Watrous Nursing Center in Madison. Louise was the beloved wife of the late Albert T. "Booty" Eichinger who passed away in 1984. She was born in Bridgeport, daughter of Alessandro and Anna (Luciano) Marranzino. Louise had resided in Clinton with her daughter Nancy Kelly and her family, moving from Killingworth where she had made her home since 1982. Prior to being a resident of Killingworth she had been a resident of Milford for thirty years. Louise had a long working career that included working in a factory in support of the War effort during World War II, Head Pastry Chef at Milford High School, and worked in a chocolate shop for twenty three years designing and packaging chocolates of every kind. She was a devoted communicant of Saint Lawrence Church and supported her church in many ways including being Father O'Hara's personal cook, organizing both the spring and fall rummage sales for seventeen years, always helped at the church strawberry festival and Christmas fair. She loved to collect Teddy Bears and speak fluent Pig Latin. Besides her daughter Nancy, she leaves her daughter Gail Eichinger-Schwartz and her husband Skipp of Guilford, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three sisters, Marie Massaro, of Shelton, Isabel and Martha Marranzino, both of Westport. She was predeceased by her grandson, Clayton Kelly, son-in-law, Alan Kelly , brother, Thomas and sister Connie. As Louise wrote to her family the best part of my life was marrying my husband Albert, delivering two wonderful daughters Nancy & Gail who in time blessed me with grandchildren and great grandchildren. I was blessed with a loving and caring family. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 16th at Saint Lawrence Church, 7 Hemlock Drive in Killingworth at11AM until the Celebration of her Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon. Burial will follow in the Resurrection Cemetery in Westbrook.
