Obituary of Frank C. Waz

Frank C. Waz, 91 of Chester, former longtime resident of Essex, died August 6, 2012 at Chesterfield's Health Care Center. Beloved husband of Lucy (Filippi) Was who passed away in 2005. Frank was Born in Middlefield, son of the late John J. & Katherine (Skurka) Waz. He was a proud WWII Army veteran, worked as a piano craftsman at Pratt Reed for 37 years and was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Essex, it was said that Frank never had an unkind word for anyone. Frank is survived by his sisters; Julia Mislick, Jennie Sulinski and Clara Nelson all of Deep River, a sister-in-law Theresa Stopa of Centerbrook and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Walter, Victor and John Waz who passed away 3 weeks ago. Visitation will be on Friday, August 10th at Robinson Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main St. Centerbrook from 9:30 – 10:30am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11am from Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Essex. Interment with full military honors at Resurrection Cemetery, Westbrook.
