Obituary of Frances Ida Daniels

Frances Ida Daniels, 86, of Chester and a former resident of Centerbrook passed away Tuesday morning August 28th at Chesterfields Health Care Center. Frances was the beloved wife of the late Donald T. Daniels who passed away on May 11, 1986. Frances had made her home in Centerbrook for over twenty years with her daughter, JoAnn C. DeToro and her husband Kevin and their family. She was born in Clinton on May 13, 1926 the daughter of Mabel (Miller) Dudley. Frances was a graduate of Deep River High School. She was employed at R. R. Donnelly in Old Saybrook for over twenty years working as a binder. Frances retired in 1986. She than began a new career as a housekeeper at Chesterfields Health Care Center retiring in 2006. She will be greatly missed by her entire family and especially by her beloved grandchildren that she loved so much. Frances is survived by her daughters, JoAnn DeToro, Donna Warner, and her companion James Quirk of Clinton, Patricia Hall, of Clinton, her sons, Donald Jr. and his wife Theresa, of Meriden, William, of CA, Robert and his wife Carol of Old Saybrook, and James, of Cheshire, her 17 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. She also leaves her sister Nellie Tiezzi, of Moodus. Frances was predeceased by her son, John C. Daniels in 2004 and her two sisters, Eva Dudley and Jessie Gould. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 31st at 10:00AM in the Fountain Hill Cemetery, High Street, in Deep River.
