Obituary of Donald Wayne Anderson

Donald Wayne Anderson, 65, of Longview, TX departed this life for glory on Monday, September 3, 2112.He was born on May 30, 1947 in Charleston, SC, the third of three sons born to Walter and Lillian Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother Walter William Anderson. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Kiyoko Anderson, his brother Wesley Anderson and wife Jolene of Longview, TX, his son Andy and his wife Lisa, his daughter Connie Anderson, his son Tony Anderson all of Connecticut, his granddaughter Desirae Duran, his grandson Tyler Anderson and Granddaughter Chloe Anderson. Donald proudly served his country as a U.S. Army intelligence specialist during the Vietnam Era. He worked as a computer programmer, lived in Hawaii, California and for the past 9 years in Longview, TX. Mr. Anderson was a testimony to his Baptist faith, and found comfort and joy in songs celebrating Christ. His passion for music also included writing, singing and strumming his guitar to the song's of the 50's and 60's. Funeral services were held in Longview, Texas. Interment with full Military honors was held on Thursday, September 13th at Fountain Hill Cemetery in Deep River, with Rev. Michael Crane of the Essex Baptist Church, officiating.
