Obituary of Jean A. Taylor

Jean A. Taylor, age 93, of Deep River died on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Ickesburg, PA on September 22, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Ada (Kerr) Orris. A resident of Deep River for 56 years she had been an active member of the Deep River Historical Society and Deep River Garden Club for many years as well as serving on the Board of Visiting Nurses in the 1960's. She was pre deceased by her husband of 59 years Arthur with whom she enjoyed many years of traveling the U.S. towing their Airstream trailer and visiting many National Parks. She leaves behind two sons, Brent and wife Sandra of Old Saybrook, Fred and wife Grace of Florida and a daughter Catherine and husband Richard Billings of Deep River. Also seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Deep River Ambulance Assoc., the Deep River Historical Society or Old Saybrook Rotary Foundation.
