Obituary of Susan McDonald

Susan (DiGiorgi) McDonald, 55, passed away on February 25, 2014 at the Middlesex Hospital in Middletown. She was the beloved wife of Daniel W. McDonald Sr. of Old Saybrook. Born in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of Elizabeth K. (Ganther) DiGiorgi of Old Saybrook and the lateVincent DiGiorgi. Susan has lived in Connecticut since 1977 and has spent 25 years in Old Saybrook. She was a graduate of Southern Connecticut University in 1998 and has been a Life Skills Coach for Vista for 15 years where she had a great love for her clients. Susan enjoyed gardening and was a great cook. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her three children, Jennifer Noels McDonald of Moodus, Kristina Elizabeth McDonald and Daniel William McDonald Jr. both of Old Saybrook, her sister and brother, Diane (Jerod) Uphold and Steven DiGiorgi, both of Old Saybrook, a grandson Vincent Kain Daniels, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2014 from 2-5PM at the Robinson, Wright, & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street, Centerbrook. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 3 at 10AM at St. John's Church, 161 Main St., Old Saybrook. Interment will follow at the Fountain Hill Cemetery, Deep River.
