Michael was a friend who happened to live where I worked. He was the worlds best listener and always made me feel better just seeing his bright eyes. I often shared stories and he would light up laughing over my life escapades. He enjoyed it when my son would come and visit, liked to be let in on secrets and loved to be in on practical jokes. He was also the only person who ever gave me my own wrestler name.
I'm grateful that he is at peace and will remember him fondly every time I see a set of boxing gloves. I'm sorry that I did not find out about his passing in time to pay my respects in person but am hopeful that his family knows that he loved them very much.
