I had the pleasure of knowing Winifred for several years, and I enjoyed her very much. I tried to make it a point to call her every week, until she could not longer hear very well. She was a wonderful women, and the highlight was seeing her attend my PT BOAT EXHIBIT in Newport, Rhode Island. Her generosity made it possible for me to restore and display an original PT BOAT ENGINE, and I got the chance to visit her a few times in her Deep River home. Those visits were wonderful, and I loved listening her talk about times past. She will not doubt be missed. God Bless you Winifred.
