Obituary of Robert W. Schneider

Robert W. Schneider, age 81, of Old Saybrook passed away on Saturday evening December 1,2012 at the Middlesex Hospital in Middletown. He was the beloved husband of Judith (Leitgeb) Schneider. Bob was born in New Britain , the son of William and Emma (Schwab) Schneider and was raised in Chester and graduated from Chester High School in 1949. Bob was a proud veteran of the United States AirForce serving during the Korean War. He was employed by Contel ICP in Chester for over 20 years. Bob will be remembered as a devoted family man. Besides his wife Judith, he leaves his loving sons, William A.(Joanne) of Middletown, Bernard L. (Suzanne), Bryan D.(Gigi) and Bruce A. (Alexis) all of Old Saybrook as well as his devoted grandchildren; Michael, Kathy, Gregory, Joshua, David, Mackenzie and Jacob. Visitation will be held on Tuesday Dec. 4, 2012 from 5- 7 PM at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street, Centerbrook. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, at 1pm at Saint John's Church, 161 Main Street in Old Saybrook.
