Obituary of Blanche G. Lombardi

Blanche G. (Bean) Lombardi, 102, passed away on December 15, 2012 at Chesterfield's Healthcare Center in Chester. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul Lombardi who died in 1977. She was born in Old Lyme, daughter of the late William & Gertrude Bean. Blanche was a foster parent for over 30 years to many children who's impact on their lives is immeasurable. She is survived by her son Robert and his wife Nancy Lombardi, her son-in-law Charles Sakmar both of Ivoryton, her grandchildren; Rob, Deb, Tam, Patty, Beverly, Sandy, Kathy & Michael as well as many great grandchildren. Blanche was predeceased by her husband, her daughters; Mary Korineck and Pauline Sakmar and granddaughters Maryann & Brenda. Our family would like to thank the staff at Chesterfield's for the love and kindness they have shown "Gram" over the past 2 ½ years. A graveside service will be held at Resurrection Cemetery in Westbrook on Tuesday, December 18th at 12:30pm. Donations in Gram's memory may be made to the Essex Fire Dept.Box 786, Essex, CT 06426.
