Obituary of John H. Lane

John H. Lane Jr., 88 of Centerbrook died February 10, 2013 at Middlesex Hospital after a short illness. Beloved husband of the late Beatrice (Urbati) Lane. John was born in Somerville, MA March 23, 1924, son of the late John H. & Marguerite (Kelly). He proudly served his country during WWII in the Marine Corp. After relocating to Connecticut, John went on to own and operate Lane's Paint & Wallpaper in Deep River and Valley Tile and Marble. He had been a member of the Westbrook Elks, American Legion and in his 40's received his pilots license. John is survived by his children; Kevin J. (Mary) Lane of Rock Hill, SC and Jeanne M. (Dan) Haslam of Chester and grandfather to Daniel Parker of Westbrook and Sarah Totten of Clinton. Funeral service and burial for John will be private.
