Obituary of Rita Perring

Rita Perring, age 101, the beloved wife of the late Clair Perring and mother of Myrna L. Zubee of Ivoryton passed away on Thursday afternoon, February 14, 2013 at Apple Rehabilitation in Old Saybrook. Rita had been a longtime resident of Westbrook and had formerly resided in Bristol. Rita will be remembered for the great love that she had for her entire family and she always looked forward to family gatherings and events. When residing in Westbrook she was very active in the Westbrook Senior Club. Her favorite pastime was singing which she loved to do. Besides her daughter Myrna she leaves her son, Donald Perring of Crestview, Florida, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her grandsons, Mark and Wayne Zubee and her brother and sister. A private graveside service will be held in the Spring at the Edgewood Cemetery in Wolcott. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Rita's name may be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
