Obituary of James J. Eagan

James J. Eagan, 80, died on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at his home in Berlin. Son of the late Thomas and Cecilia (Campbell) Eagan. He was predeceased by his brothers John and Thomas Jr., and sister, Elizabeth. Jim is survived by his sisters, Margaret Eagan and Frances Eagan, both of Deep River. James was a U.S Marine Corp. Veteran who served in Korea and Vietnam. He retired as a Master Sergeant after 20 years of dedicated service to his country. For many years James owned and operated his own trucking company. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to all his care providers but especially Alisha, Krystyna, and Barbara, who were with him for many years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 7, 11:30am, at St. Joseph's Church in Chester. Visitation will be held from 10-11am prior to his Mass, at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street, Centerbrook. Interment with full military honors will follow in the church cemetery.
