Obituary of Frank L. Bump

.Frank L. Bump, Jr., 88, formerly of Ivoryton, passed away on April 24, 2013 at Coleman House Senior Care Residence, Northborough, MA. Frank was pre-deceased by his beloved wife of 58 years Anna (Garbarino) Bump in 2005. Frank was born in Ivoryton on June 8, 1924 and was the son of Frank and Jennie (Johnson) Bump. He graduated from Pratt High School in Essex in 1942. Frank proudly served in the US Navy Submarine Service in the South Pacific during World War II. He attended New Britain Teachers College and Bentley College where he graduated with a degree in Accounting in 1950. He worked in manufacturing finance until his retirement in 1987. During his retirement, Frank and Anna enjoyed spending time with their children and grandchildren at home on Cape Cod and while boating and traveling in their recreational vehicle. Frank also loved woodworking and gardening. Frank is survived by his son Richard Bump of Avon, CT and his wife Kiren, grandchildren Richard, John, Jillian, Alexander and great grandson Caleb; his daughter Pamela Allison of Bolton, MA and her husband Donald and grandchildren Megan and Donnie; his brother Clayton Bump of Wheelock, VT, and many nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his brothers John M. Bump Sr. and Gerald Bump and his granddaughter Allison Bump. Visitation will be held at Robinson, Wright and Weymer Funeral Home in Centerbrook, CT on Tuesday April 30, 2013 at 10:30AM. Frank's funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11:30AM and interment with Full Military Honors will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Chester.
