Obituary of Donna Marie West

Donna Marie West, age 49, passed away on Monday evening, May 13th at her residence in Deep River. Donna was born in Bristol on June 6, 1963 the daughter of Charles McLaughlin and Dorothy (Porowski) Ingham. She has been a resident of Deep River for the past ten years and was formerly of Bristol. Donna had worked both as an Executive Secretary and as a Healthcare Provider at the Forestville Health and Rehabilitation Center in Forestville. She had also provided housekeeping services at the Riverview Lodge in Deep River. She will be remembered for her great love of people, always loving, caring, patient, and understanding of others. Donna enjoyed caring for others and always worked to brighten up anyone's day with kind words and supportive encouragement. Donna had many online friends who she supported and enjoyed. She loved all animals and will be especially missed by her kitty "Buddy". Donna leaves her son, Austin West of Coventry, who she missed dearly and her brothers, Rick McLaughlin and his wife Wendy of Avon, and their children, Meaghan, Matthew, Libby and Drew; Jay McLaughlin of Plainville and his children, Kyle and Allison. Besides her parents Donna was predeceased by her grandparents, Raymond and Helen Porowski who she was especially close to. Visitation will be held at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centerbrook on Monday, May 20th at 10:00AM. A Service of Remembrance will follow at 11:00AM. Interment services will be privately held. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made in Donna's name to the Connecticut Humane Society, 169 Old Colchester Road, Quaker Hill, CT 06375
