I was privileged to get to know Garth at Essex Meadows. My father Bob Lindsey is 96 and a resident now of the EM Health Center. When I learned that Garth retired from Stanley, (where I have worked for 24 years), I introduced myself and we had a memorable dinner together with Garth and Ollie in the Essex Meadows dining room. I had a personalized Stanley tape rule made for him and he was so happy to have received this gift. I was fascinated by all his stories about Don Davis, New Britain, the Museum of Art and his Stanley "family". I was blessed to have been able to share this Stanley history with him. I would see him from time to time at the health center and I always enjoyed talking to him. I will always remember his twinkle in his eye and how much he loved his dearly beloved wife. My deepest sympathies to your family. I am sure you will celebrate their long and productive life at the memorial service. This world is certainly a better place because of Mr and Mrs Edwards.
