Obituary of Eleanor Charlotte Bradford

Deep River: Eleanor Charlotte (Ralph) Bradford, age 95, of Deep River went to be with the Lord on Wednesday afternoon July 31st. Eleanor was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Harland Bradford. She was born December 19, 1917 in Kearny, New Jersey the daughter of Chester and Charlotte (Turnbull) Ralph. Eleanor had been a resident of Deep River since June of 2005 and was formerly of Kearny, New Jersey. She attended the Deep River Baptist Church and was formerly an active and faithful member of the Oakwood Avenue Baptist Church in Kearny. Eleanor had worked for a number of years as a bookkeeper. She was a devoted homemaker, beloved wife and mother. Her family was important to her as she was to her family. She was an avid gardener and also enjoyed handwork. Eleanor's knitting and sewing talents were exceptional. She is survived by her two daughters, Barbara A. Mackenzie, and her husband Ted of Deep River, and Sandra R. Waddell, and her husband Bill of Newton, New Jersey. Her son, Kenneth H. Bradford, Jr. and his wife Carol of West Milford, New Jersey and her six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her three sisters and her beloved husband Ken who passed away on July 19, 2011. They were married on April 30, 1938 and were blessed with 73 wonderful years together. Funeral services will be privately held by her family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Eleanor's name to the Deep River Baptist Church, P.O. Box 296, Deep River, CT 06417.
