Obituary of Frank N. Ferrari

Frank N. Ferrari, 83, a lifelong resident of Chester passed away at his home surrounded by his family and ever faithful Kato Kitty on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. Frank was the beloved husband of Helene (Lupinik) Ferrari. They celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on October 12, 2014. Frank was born in Middletown on May 25, 1931 the son of the late Frank P. and Daphne (Tyler) Ferrari. He lived his entire life in the same neighborhood of Chester. He was a graduate of Chester High School in 1949 and attended Oklahoma A&M where he studied diesel engineering. Frank proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, Strategic Air Command during the Korean War. Frank worked with the A. A. Zanardi Company in Chester for over 30 years. He was ever present in Chester serving as a Second Selectman, member of the Board of Finance, the Board of Education and on Board of Roads. He was in the first group of named Pillars of Chester in 2008. Frank was a member of the Chester Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow. He was forever devoted to his family, Helene and their daughter, Cheri Ferrari Habersang and her husband Mark of Chester. Their homestead and yard with its gorgeous gardens was his life, along with their cherished dogs and cats, and Magic the crow. A gathering to celebrate Frank's life will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014 from 1:00PM to 3:00PM at the Chester Meeting House, 4 Liberty Street in Chester. The Rendering of Military Honors will take place at 3:00PM.
