Obituary of Barbara H. Stebbins

Stebbins: Barbara, age 97, passed away following a brief illness early Sunday morning, August 4, 2013, at Chesterfields Health Care Center in Chester. She was the loving wife of 77 amazing years to William Stebbins, also residing at Chesterfields. Born on January 25, 1916 in Ivoryton and where she resided most her life, she was the daughter of the late Sarah (Haskell) Parmelee and Burdette Parmelee. Besides her beloved husband William she leaves her three sons, Donald, of Deep River, David of Nokomis, Florida, and Richard, of Essex. She was grandmother to; Donna, Terri, Sonny, Marcia, Sarah, Timothy, Kelly and Bethany, and great-grandmother to; Todd, Eric, Ashley, Logan, Kyle, Jake, Elizabeth and Madison. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 8th at 11:00AM at the Centerbrook Cemetery, Westbrook Road in Centerbrook. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to Chesterfields Health Care Center, 132 Main Street, Chester, CT 06412 or to the Ivoryton Congregational Church, P.O. Box 578, Ivoryton, CT 06442.
