Obituary of Nicolina Falivene
Nicolina (Roberto) Falivene, 93, of Essex died at Aaron Manor in Chester on September 9, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Giuseppe "Joe" Falivene who passed away in 2008. Nicolina was born in Hartford , daughter of the late Angelo & Amalia (Cianciulli) Roberto. After her birth her family went back to Italy, Nicolina then returned to the U.S. in 1954. She worked for Knothe Brothers in Westbrook as a seamstress for 30 years, but will be remembered for her great cooking, crochet work, being a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children; Carmine Falivene of Essex, Phyllis & Steve Pagano of Essex, Molly & Marty Radomski of Deep River; six grandchildren, Joseph, Chris & Danielle Falivene, Joe & Kevin Radomski and Anthony Pagano, as well as 2 great grandchildren; Ben & Kimberly. Nicolina is also survived by her brother Orazio Roberto of Ivoryton. She was predeceased by her siblings; Maria Roberto, Connie Muscolino, Joseph Roberto and Angelo Roberto. Nicolina's family wishes to thank the entire staff at Aaron Manor for the care, support and kindness over the past years. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5-7pm at Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main St. Centerbrook Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Prospect St. in Essex on Thursday at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Westbrook.
