Obituary of Carlene Lauber

Carlene (Scherb) Lauber, 80, of Essex passed away unexpectedly at Yale-New Haven Hospital on October 3, 2013. Daughter of Carl Scherb and Matilda Sperzel, she was born in New Haven, CT in 1933. Carlene graduated from Hamden High School and had a love for gardening and cooking. She was best known for being a great mom. She leaves behind her beloved husband Raymond C. Lauber, her three children, Wendi L. Butler of Deep River, Sheryl L. Weden of Dover, MA, Steven Lauber of Sugarland, Texas, her brother Clifford Scherb of Madison, CT, and seven grandchildren. She is predeceased by her brother, Robert Scherb. A private graveside service will be held at Riverview Cemetery in Essex, CT.
