Obituary of Myrtle G. Kelsey

Myrtle G. Kelsey, age 85 of Deep River passed away on Wednesday evening, October 16, 2013 at the Shoreline Medical Center in Essex. Myrtle was the beloved wife of the late Eldridge M. Kelsey who predeceased her on March 23, 2012. Myrtle was born in Hartford the daughter of John and Lillian (Myrer) Greuel. Myrtle and Eldridge were married on January 26, 1946 at the First Congregational Church of Deep River and she had resided in the Winthrop section of Deep River since 1948. Myrtle enjoyed knitting and bowling. She is survived by her son, Peter W. Kelsey and her daughter Bonnie A. Perkins, both of Deep River, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Besides her husband Eldridge she was predeceased by her beloved son John R. Kelsey. Visitation will be held at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centerbrook on Sunday, October 20, 2013 from 3:00PM to 5:00PM. Myrtle's funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 10:00AM. with interment following in the Fountain Hill Cemetery, High Street in Deep River. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
