I had known Jon since we were 5 years of age, and we became good friends around age 10. He was one of my dearest friends that made a positive impact on my life. Jon and Jamie Husted actually saved my life once when swimming, Jon was best man at my wedding, and he was Godfather to my first born child Elisabeth.
We shared many conversations and good times in our youth, and I always had a respect for his character, strong work ethic, and love of family. I know he cherished his three sons, and when I saw him this summer he was so proud to have just become a grandfather. I will sincerely miss my friend, I will remember him and his kindness and loyalty to me the rest of my days. Peace be with you Jon, your memory will live on in our hearts and minds.
