Obituary of Elisabeth F. Stahlbush

Elisabeth "Bette" F. Stahlbush, age 89, passed away peacefully at Peregrine's Landing in Clinton on November 4, 2013. She was born September 12, 1924 in New Britain, CT and lived in Newington, CT, Midland, MI and Chester, CT. She attended New Britain High School and graduated from Moody Secretarial School. She worked at Stanley Works, Ray Bearing, New Britain Savings Bank and retired from Wiremold Co. Her interests included volunteering and activities in the senior center, especially exercise class and painting. Her love for travelling took her to numerous landmarks across North America. Most of all, she loved spending time with family. Married for 59 years to Ervin P. Stahlbush, they raised five children, three sons and two daughters. She is survived by her brother, John Fuller, sister Jean Kearnan; two sons and their spouses: Robert Stahlbush and Kathy Newman, Bruce and Nita Stahlbush, a daughter-in-law, Kathy Stahlbush, two daughters and their spouses: Lois Stahlbush Tolley and Steve Tolley, Linda and Mark Howell, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a brother, Fred Fuller, her husband Ervin, a son James and a granddaughter Amy. A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 8th at 11:00AM at the West Meadows Cemetery located at 679 Willard Ave., Newington, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bette's name to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington, CT. 06111.
