Obituary of Vincent F. Fiorentino

Vincent "Jim' Fiorentino, age 65, of Clinton passed away peacefully on Friday, November 1, 2013 at the Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven. He was the beloved husband of Linda R. (Goldberg) Fiorentino. Jim and Linda were married in New York City on April 26, 1968 and spent 45 wonderful years together. He was born in Astoria, New York on April 4, 1948 the son of the late Fred and Rose (Linsalata) Fiorentino. Jim was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served his country in the United States Navy. Prior to his retirement in April of this year he was the Information Technology Director at Doncasters Incorporated in Farmington. Jim was a member of the Westbrook Lodge of Elks, an avid motorcyclist who enjoyed riding his Harley with his friends. He especially enjoyed being at his home in the Hideout in Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania. He loved the water, and enjoyed kayaking. Besides his wife Linda, he leaves his daughters, Donna Fiorentino and her husband John Mikulski of Old Saybrook, Kim Long and her husband Rob of Branford, his grandchildren, Ryan, Emma, and Lila, his sister, Julie Mutschler, of Port Jefferson, New York and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his extended British family, Lee and Helen "Mr. and Mrs. Mate" Ganley. Visitation will be held at the Robinson, Wright, and Weymer Funeral Home; 34 Main Street in Centerbrook on Friday, November 8th from 5-7PM. Jim's memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 9th at 11:00AM at The Waters Edge Resort and Spa, 1525 Boston Post Road in Westbrook. A reception will follow.
