Obituary of Harriet I. Ornato

Harriet I.(Hunt) Ornato, 78, of Old Saybrook & Marco Island, FL formerly a longtime resident of Greenwich died on November 17, 2013 at her home in Old Saybrook. Beloved wife of Michael A. Ornato. Harriet was born in Hartford, daughter of the late Harris & Irene (Lavin) Hunt. She was a UCONN graduate and a loving wife and devoted mother and grandmother. In addition to her husband she is survived by her children; Michael H. of Norwalk, Timothy L. of Orange Park, FL, Daniel J. of Weaverville, NC and Jocelyn Ornato Bramhall of Barrington, RI, ten grandchildren as well as her sisters Jacqueline Flagg of Suffield and Patricia Brady of Pennsylvania. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday at the Fred D. Knapp Funeral Home, 267 Greenwich Ave, Greenwich from 5-7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Catherine's Church, 4 Riverside Ave. Riverside on Friday at 9:30am. Interment will be private.
