Obituary of Eileen C. Hunihan
Eileen C. Hunihan, 73, of Westbrook died after a short illness at Yale-New Haven Hospital on January 9, 2014. Eileen was born in New Haven, daughter of the late Thomas & Anel (Pozika) Hunihan. She was educated at St. Peters Catholic School, graduated from high school at Sacred Heart in Hamden and entered the order of the Apostles of Sacred Heart after graduation for 6 years. Before taking her final vows she left the order. She graduated Southern CT State University in 1968. Eileen worked for more than 20 years as a dietary aide and dietary supervisor at the Jewish Home in New Haven and went on to work for Fowler Nursing Home in Guilford before her retirement. She was also a member of Columbian Ladies, Knights of Columbus. She is survived by her sons; Mark E. Laudano and his wife Annamarie of Durham, Charles E. Laudano and his wife Cynthia of West Haven, Justin E. Laudano and his wife Elizabeth of Raleigh, NC, as well as seven grandchildren, her brother Donald T. Hunihan of Hamden and close friend Obediah P. Hill of Gales Ferry. In addition to her parents Eileen was predeceased by her longtime companion William Pacelli. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at St. Lawrence Church, 207 Main St, West Haven at11am. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
