Dear Mrs. Lifland and Family:
My heartfelt and sincere sorrow for your loss. Chief Judge Lifland was Chief of the Bankruptcy Court for most of my career. He mentored me when I was a law clerk to Former Judge Blackshear between 1992-94. He was brilliant, gracious and proud. He will be missed. It is truly the end of an era for me and my colleagues. His legacy lives on in us and we are forever indebted. Thank you for sharing him with us. May your special memories of him sustain you at this very difficult time.
