Obituary of Louise Carfi

Louise (Johnson) Carfi, 90, of Old Saybrook died at Apple Rehabilitation in Old Saybrook after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Carfi. Louise was born in Dorchester, MA and had lived in Connecticut since 1945. She worked for many years at Meadowbrook Rest Home in Essex as a nurses aide. Louise is survived by her children; Charleen Carfi of Westbrook and George J. Carfi of Lyme, her grandchildren; Garret Edwards of California and Skylar Carfi of Lyme, a great-granddaughter Anastasia Peterson and a great-great grandson Ethan. In addition to her husband, Louise was predeceased by her daughter Mary Lou Carfi. Services will be held at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main St. Centerbrook on Tuesday, Jan.28th at 1pm. Interment will follow at the State Veteran's Cemetery in Middletown.
