Obituary of Norma Roberts

Norma (Salata) Roberts of River Road, Bozrah, CT died peacefully surrounded by her family on February 6, 2014. Born in Mohawk, MI in 1934, she was the daughter of the late John and Dora Salata. Norma leaves behind her loving husband of 58 years, Ronald Roberts, Sr., 6 children, Ronald Roberts, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Danielson, CT, Stephen Roberts and his wife Ruth of Colchester, CT, Katherine Smith and her fiancée Lester Graham of E. Hartford, CT, Cheryl Bower and her husband Thomas of Norwich, CT, Bryan Roberts and his wife Kristine of Griswold, CT, Kenneth Roberts and his wife Carol of North Franklin, CT, 11 grandchildren, a sister Ann Richardson, and brothers Thomas Salata and John Salata of MI. She was predeceased by her daughter and little angel Theresa Roberts. In addition she was also predeceased by her brother Theodore Salata, and sister Katherine Umlauf both of MI. Besides being a loving wife, mother and grandmother, Norma worked 33 years as an egg inspector at Kofkoff Egg Farm in Bozrah. Norma cherished her home of 49 years in Bozrah and loved spending time watching the birds and wildlife in her backyard overlooking the Fitchville Pond. The family will receive guests at a "Celebration of Life" gathering on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at the Bozrah Volunteer Firehouse, 239 Fitchville Rd., Bozrah, CT.
