So very shocked and saddened after seeing the passing of "Larry" Dayett. I have fond memories of meeting him and Dorothy a few times when they would come to visit their son, Brian. They were always so sweet to me tho they never really knew me except as a fan of Brian's from his Chicago Cubs days. Larry had a great sense of humor and a twinkle in his eyes. I truly hope that Dorothy is doing well. So very sorry for your loss.

My dear Cousin Larry, I hate the thought that I can no longer ever see you again, You were always such a great guy, got us kids going in the right direction. Always had soo much patience with the younger generation. I saw you last when Isabelle was going downhill, I had hoped I would see you again, Dave

One of the good guys. We will miss him. Around town or at one one the various dinners, always a smile and something nice to say. He entertained our children with the old "found a dollar behind your ear" trick many times and pulled it off with a great laugh by all. Our son Dan was fortunate to be old enough to remember him.
We didn't spend enough time with him.

I have cooked dinner at Kirtland Commons every Monday for the last three years. Larry rated my meals by assigning forks. Of course he was so kind, many received the highest rating, 5 forks. Every week he had a big hug, his cute little half smile and that wonderful twinkle in his eye. He made everyone he knew feel special. He is a role model for me. I try to find the happy side, even during tough times and Larry was the king of that! At our events, he would always dance with me, even when he had to use his walker. Larry was a magical and special man and I was blessed to call him a friend. I am sorry for the loss we all will suffer, but will always hold him in my heart.

To all of Larry's family,
My sincere condolences to all of you during this difficult time. I worked with Larry at UARCO from 1974 to 1983 and enjoyed every minute of our time together. Just last month we became friends on Facebook and had a brief exchange. I hope that the wonderful memories you have will serve as comfort to you. He will be missed by many.

I have known Larry for nearly 25 years and have admired his positive outlook. I was the superintendent of schools in Region 4 when Larry worked at John Winthrop and Valley. I always enjoyed talking to him about Valley sports, the Red Sox and Yankees and the latest exploits of Brian, his son.
After our respective retirements, my wife and I delivered Meals on Wheels to Larry and his wife, who were living at Kirtland Commons and we continued our discussions about sports. A light of friendship has gone out in Deep River.

To all of Larry's family,
Your father and grandfather was one of the nicest people I had the pleasure of working with at John Winthrop. Just a sweet man who loved all of you and was so proud of you. He was a truly good person and know you will all miss him. He'll always be with you and you will carry on his goodness. Jean Doyle
