Obituary of Elenor Griswold Collins

Elenor Griswold Collins of Centerbrook, Connecticut, daughter of the late Henry and Mabel Griswold, passed away on May 14, 2018 at an age just shy of 100.  She was born in Ivoryton on January 6, 1919. Elenor graduated from Pratt High School in 1938, and worked at Ernest Bischoff Co. in Ivoryton, Knoth Brothers in Westbrook, Valley Manufacturing in Centerbrook, Essex Mills in Essex and The Lee Co. in Westbrook where she retired after 20 years.  She loved the outdoors and working in her flower and vegetable gardens.  She also loved to watch birds and had a special connection with cardinals.  She always said the outdoors was her home.  She was very fond of taking photographs both on her many trips and of family and friends.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Elenor is survived by two daughters, Mary Donlan of Niantic, CT and Linda Wilkinson and her husband Jeff of Enfield, NH.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Sean Donlan of Niantic, CT, Kristi Wilkinson and Garrett Wilkinson, of Enfield, NH, as well as nephew, Ronald Griswold and his daughter, Wendy, of Middletown, CT and nephew Warren Narducci Jr. of Inverness, FL.  She was predeceased by her siblings Alfred Griswold, Robert Griswold, Dorothy Narducci and Florence Malcarne. A private family service will be held graveside at Centerbrook Cemetery.  There are no planned calling hours or celebration of life.
