Obituary of Edward August Lombardi
Edward August Lombardi, 61, of Essex, CT, died peacefully in his home on August 10th surrounded by family and friends. Ed was born on September 9, 1956 in Middletown, CT, to his predeceased parents Charles F. Sr. and Marie (Svihovec) Lombardi. Ed is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 40 years, Alberte Coccomo; daughters Erica Donnelly and Kate Lombardi and son-in-law Bryan Donnelly; father and mother-in-law James and Elizabeth Franco (Bette and Poppi); brother Charles F. Lombardi Jr. and his wife Sharon; former sister-in-law Deborah Lombardi; niece Teresa Flannigan and husband John and their children Samantha and Brandon; niece Jessica Lombardi (Goddaughter) and son Mikel and his daughter Mia; nephew Charles F. Lombardi III and wife Stacey and their children Charlotte and Scott; niece Victoria Prosco and husband Adam and their children Logan and Austin (Godson). Ed received his MBA from the University of Hartford and began a 20 year corporate career eventually ending as Corporate Vice President of Barclays Business Credit. Ed then accomplished his life-long dream of becoming self-employed and embarking on many entrepreneurial ventures with the first as a designer and builder, and most recently (and most special) being his partnership with his daughter, Erica, opening Maison Envie. Ed lived life to its fullest, with his family being his number one priority. He was a loving, caring, father and husband and fierce protector. Ed loved the beach, traveling with family, antiquing, going for drives in the car, and spending time with family and friends. The family invites all to attend a Celebration of Ed’s life on Thursday, August 16th from 5:30pm - 9:30pm with a short service beginning at 7:00 pm at the Vicki G. Duffy Pavilion, 150 College St., Old Saybrook, CT.
