Cathy, Jennifer and Becky, my heart goes out to you and your families. A lot of good times with you all. When my dad and Doug put up the multiple swimming pools at our house and yours. Many years ago. There was always laughing when he was around always busting butt! :o) Haven't seen him in a while, but will remember the old times. Be strong and keep the good memories close in heart. Sorry I was unable to attend today! GOD BLESS Christine McCarthy Kutneski

My heartfelt condolences to my family. Aunt Janet, Aunt Midge and my dear Mom; Cathy, Jennifer, Becky, Lori, and Bill - my heart is hurting for you all. My cousins, second cousins, third cousins, and all who loved him -let us hold tight to our memories. We have lost a beautiful member of our family. May thoughts of his love, compassion, affection, and humor warm our hearts and console us in our time of need. May his humor that brought us to tears carry us through this difficult time. As he looks down upon us he would want to see us laughing, not crying; celebrating, not mourning. Uncle Doug was an inspiration, a most loved and respected member of our family. His love for our family was infinite, and his selfless nature was admirable. There will remain a large hole in our family tree. His shoes can not be filled. His great big bear hugs and warm smiles will live on my heart forever.
This verse was printed on my brother, Rick's, obituary card. As I re-read the words, I felt compelled to share them with you all. Here's looking at you, Uncle Doug.
Come to Me
God saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be.
So He put his arms around you
And whispered "Come to Me".
With tearful eyes we watched you,
And saw you pass away
Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to
prove to us,
He only takes the best.
I love you, Uncle Doug. You will live on in my heart forever. Until we meet again, may God bless you. God bless my family, and my love to you all.
Sandi

My heartfelt condolences to my family. Aunt Janet, Cathy, Jennifer, Becky, Lori and Bill; my dear Mom and Aunt Midge - my heart is hurting and my thoughts and prayers are with you all. To all my cousins, second cousins, third cousins...all who knew and loved him- I am so sorry for your loss, our loss. Uncle Doug was special to all of us, and he will be missed by so many. Heaven has gained a kind, loving, affectionate, compassionate -and very funny angel.
Uncle Doug has reunited with his mother, his brothers and his sister. The following verse was on my brother Rick's obituary card, it is beautiful and it speaks to Uncle Doug as well. Here's to you, Uncle Doug:
Come to Me
God saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be.
So He put his arms around you
And whispered, "Come to Me".
With tearful eyes we watched you,
And saw you pass away.
Although we loved you dearly,

A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to
prove to us,
He only takes the best.
Rest in Peace, Uncle Doug. I love you, and will hold you in my heart until we meet again. God Bless you and God Bless all of us.
Love to all,

Cathy, Jennifer, Becky I am so sorry for the loss of your Dad.It seems like only yesterday I was delivering the newspaper to your doorstep in the old neighborhood. May you find peace in knowing that he is no longer in pain. He will always be beside each one of you and in your hearts each passing day. Hold onto and always cherish the memories of what a great Dad he was and that should lessen the sorrow you now feel
